Frequently Asked Questions About Raft Rentals

When will you deliver the rental equipment to the put-in?

The day prior to your launch or the day of your launch, whichever you prefer.

When will you pick up the rental equipment?

We will pick up the rental gear the day you come off the river at any agreed upon time for the Middle Fork and Selway, and between 1 and 2 pm for the Main Salmon, Lower Salmon, and Hells Canyon.

When can we pick up rental gear?

The day prior to your launch.

When can we return rental gear?

For Middle Fork trips, you can return rental gear the day you get off the river.  For all other trips, you can return rental gear the day after you get off the river.

What equipment do you provide that is required by the Forest Service?

The Forest Service requires a porta-potty, fire pan, ash can, a mesh strainer to be used to strain food particles and other materials from your dishwater, a bucket and a shovel for fire fighting, a life jacket for each person, and patching equipment. The Main Salmon also recommends a sand stake.

Blackadar Boating provides Partner porta-potties which accommodate approximately 60 uses, fire pan, ash can, shovel, strainer, bucket, repair kit, life jackets, and sand stakes for the Main Salmon.

Do you provide food buying and packing?

See the "Food Service and Packing Service" link on the left.

11-20 persons 7 days
21+ persons 6 days
